- Build Research and methodology, with AREA built to map assets to subnational risk
- Launch AREA released to clients through the API
- Post-launch Now Extending the lens across asset classes, and growing AREA with clients
The work now runs on two tracks. One is the question itself: how extra-financial risks show up in equities, corporate debt and private markets, and what investors need to see to act on them. The other is AREA, the product I own for assessing those risks at asset level: driving its adoption, scaling usage across more teams and use cases, and improving it with client feedback. Both keep going.
Extra-financial risks, from climate and nature to human rights and geopolitics, don't stay in one asset class. They shape the value of a company's shares, its bonds and the private assets behind them. My work is about seeing those risks clearly across public and private markets, at the level of the assets where they actually sit.
AREA is the main vehicle for that. Better risk data gives investors more confidence to pursue their financial and sustainability goals in markets.
